I. Candidacy Analysis & Strategic Planning Session

(Initial Session For All Clients)

 

This initial bi-modular consultation will focus on the following main areas:

	Candidacy Assessment: Assessing your candidacy to the nation’s top 10 MBA programs by matching the different elements of your background to the elements sought by Admissions Officers.   We teach you how to view your own profile from the “Admissions Perspective” and focus on identifying your own strengths and weaknesses.
	Strategic Plan Development: Creating a Strategic Plan to design your best “personal profile”, based on those programs you are interested in applying to, as well as those that best fit your personal mix of professional and academic characteristics.

Within this session, we also analyze delve deeper into the main differences between top MBA programs and how they might relate to your own career goals.

II. Application Strategy & Structuring Session

(School-specific)

 

This session’s main objective is to create the most compelling and “fool-proof” application based on your own “Multi-dimensional Profile”.

 

In general, we do this by evaluating the different elements of your application in the following specific order and approximate time frame:

	More specifically, we concentrate on applying our specific techniques and strategies to address each one of these elements, evaluate potential alternatives to address “weak” areas and present your candidacy in the most unique way possible.
	We help you understand how to “customize” each element of your application and tailor it to a specific school’s program. And finally, we help you develop a plan to manage your recommenders most effectively.    Typical Session Duration: 5:15 (hrs)

III. Interview Strategy & Simulation Session

 

Top10MBA.com will work with you to develop an effective interview strategy and to refine your interviewing skills. The interview, while not used by all top programs consistently, is considered the second most important element of your application since you have more control over it than any other element after the essays.

 

The specific topics we will go over in the Interview Strategy and Simulation session are the following:

	Interview Strategy Simulation: “Mock” Interview session.
	Multi-dimensional analysis and how each element of this profile relates to the admissions criteria of specific programs.
	Goal Definition: We define your specific goals for the interview.

Strategy Definition: We define uniqueness and differentiation strategies.

Rapport-building techniques

Questions to Ask: We help you establish what to ask the interviewer.

Interviewer Profile Assessment:

	Probable questions you’ll be asked based on your profile
	Weakness-countering techniques and strategies
	Realistic and “real-time” performance feedback
	Interview logistics considerations
	Personal presentation style and perception management

IV. Waitlist Management & Rejection Feedback Session

 

The “wait-listing” of borderline candidates has become a common phenomenon given the significant rise in MBA applications.

 

Within this particular consulting module, Top10MBA.com will re-review your materials and help you create a strategy geared towards counteracting any potential concerns a school may have about you.

 

Specifically, we will create this strategy based on a series of patterns designed to address potential perceived weaknesses or other trouble spots in your application.

 

This session is especially beneficial for, but not exclusive to, those rejected candidates intent on re-applying to the same schools the following season.
